AVM was recently interviewed by Bold Journey discussing her art journey and discovering her purpose.
“For a long time, I made the mistake of thinking that I had to know exactly each step on how to achieve my goals, and then, I would be overwhelmed with not having all the answers of how to create it. My life changed once I made the decision to pursue art. One opportunity would lead to the other. Before I knew it, I was actually doing what I always dreamt of. All I had to do was admit to myself what I wanted, own it, and work for it.”

"During her 1L year she began practicing abstract art, she says it was her creative outlet during her time at Thurgood Law. ‘It was not until seeing rows of painted canvases, that I realized I was an artist. It was evidence that art was something I loved. Although I achieved many of my goals, such as passing the Texas Bar and practicing in public service, I still felt the calling to pursue art professionally. Art became a prominent desire that I felt I could no longer pacify as a hobby.”
