It is officially 2026!
I hope this year is treating you well and has filled you with excitement and positive anticipation for what this year will bring.
The new year is a time to hit the ground running, to execute all of our plans and ideas we desire to bring forth into the world…
Last year, I began this blog as a means to create something, every week, and to prime my antenna for ideas and inspiration.
This blog also serves as a means to help me develop a language for writing about my work and honing my own personal perspective as an artist.
My reading focus this month, is “The Story of Art” by E.H. Gombrich.
While reading, I noted this thought onto a post it note.
“We value certain artists, (for many reasons) but also for their point of view. We value, the way they “see” things. How they process the world around them and translate it into physical form. What distinguishes an artist from another is the way they think, analyze subject matter, experiences and how they express themselves.”
This year, I aim, to dive deeper into art, in and of itself, and also, of course into my own work as an artist.
I aim to share how I process ideas, my environment and influences, through as many means as possible—through written language, photography, videos, and in tangible works.
This year, I hope to “nerd out” more into art, and as many means of creativity as possible.
I will share as much as I can weekly through this blog, and through my social media platforms.
