A Busy Week: Sentience, Gloryland, & Bayou City Art Festival

Last weekend was busy, busy-filled with lots of love, reassurance, encouragement, knowledge and inspiration.

Last Thursday was the opening reception of my solo show at Mid Main, Sentience: Presence as a Way of Seeing, Being & Creating.

It was an amazing evening. One that was well attended, with dear friends, collectors, and family.

I am still on cloud nine, feeling so deeply loved and cared for.

A special thank you to everyone who came out to see the show.

The next morning, I attended the Education Day of Gloryland 2026 which consisted of four conversations with some of the most influential individuals in the art world today.

Just like last year, the experience was extraordinary.

The wealth and generosity of knowledge is mind-blowing and life changing.

And, of course, I’ve taken lots and lots of notes, and which will go into another blog post in the future.

This upcoming weekend is Bayou City Arts Festival, which is always my favorite event to attend.

The Festival always lands on my birthday weekend, and this weekend is no exception.

The Festival this year is located at Memorial Park, which is the perfect backdrop to enjoy art.

If you are in the Houston area, I strongly suggest you check it out. It’s open all weekend.
