Finished Product ~ Peacock Crossroads Contribution

I am finally finished with my small contribution to Peacock Crossroads.

It debuts tomorrow, Saturday November 8th at Houston Blues Festival 2025.

I am so deeply honored to be a part of this cool project and to work with such talented artists.

Peacock Crossroads is a sculpture by Art Uniti led by Tami Moschioni.

Peacock Crossroads pays homage to Peacock Records founded by Don Robey in Fifth Ward Houston and to the love of The Blues—the music that has such a rich resonance upon the human soul.

Being from New Orleans and growing up listening to my Paw Paw’s radio, always playing his favorite New Orleans radio station: WWOZ, this project was very special to me.

I love this music, the connection and unity it creates with people of every race, color and creed.

Music that reminds us, that we are all, the same.

I painted a total of four street signs, inspired by Houston graffiti art with double words that reference The Blues.

My two word sets were: “Bayou Blues,” and “Blue Notes.”

I am so grateful to Tami for thinking of me to contribute to this project.

I am so deeply honored and had an absolute blast working on it.

Houston has such a deep history of culture and music.

The Blues Festival this year is sure to be a great time and in the words of WWOZ, New Orleans, “I encourage you to go out and enjoy some live, local music.”
