Sentience: Private Reception & Artist Talk

Yesterday evening, I hosted a private reception and artist talk for Sentience: Presence as a Way of Seeing, Being, & Creating.

The talk was moderated by Rickale “Roxy” West, an incredible multidisciplinary artist, independent curator and creative wellness advocate.

Most importantly, she’s an incredible human being, who facilitated an incredible conversation that included engagement from our audience.

In attendance were fellow artists who I am deeply inspired by, as well as dear friends and art collectors.

Light bites, wine and champagne were prepared and provided by my beloved husband, Chef Mark Anthony.

We talked about how I began my creative career as an artist, my creative process, how it corresponds to the theme of the show, Artificial Intelligence, and what it means to be sentient human beings.

Then we opened the floor to questions from the audience.

It was a beautiful, intimate experience that reminded me of how deeply grateful I am to have pursued art—because it opened the door for me to have genuine and deep connections with extraordinary people.
