New Art: Breakthrough

This work has been years in the making, and is an example of how a work can take many years to reach completion.

Breakthrough is created on salvaged wood, found at Sawyer Yards in 2019. I’ve begun painting on it in 2020, but it was not completed until late last month.

The beautiful thing about painting, is that the more layers, paint, and history a work has, the cooler it becomes.

There are no mistakes.

Each action leads to the next, building upon the other, until it is ready to emerge.
